Living Walls in Urban Design
Learn how to design living walls that deliver environmental gains. This session covers the importance of green infrastructure, the different living wall solutions, and planning and construction considerations, including fire safety. We’ll also explore common design challenges and opportunities, with practical insight to help you integrate living walls into your projects.

Why Plants Matter in Urban Design
Examine how strategic planting and biophilic design supports air quality, biodiversity, thermal regulation, acoustics, and well-being. This session draws on research and case studies to show how living walls, green roofs, and street-level planting can transform urban spaces, while exploring our innate connection to nature and its restorative effects.

Greening for BNG & UGF
Learn how to use green roofs, living walls, and SuDS features to meet biodiversity and urban greening targets. You’ll pick up tips for assessing a site’s baseline, selecting plant species to achieve targets, and submitting to councils.
