Excellent result at the Planning Awards 2022 with our very first consultancy project, under the category of ‘fostering a healthy town centre’.

Our first project under our consultancy division (learn more about that here) was ‘Highly Commended’ at the Planning Awards 2022!

Our work at Dartford Town Centre fitted in perfectly with this healthy high street category, where we carried out local interviews, site surveys and a feasibility study to work towards the regeneration of the site at Bell Corner, a small plaza-type area in the centre of Dartford town.

The brief was to design a living wall that would attract the community to the town centre; create a year-round point of interest with seasonal changes; create a biophilia-centred space; and increase the sustainable value of the location for better well-being.

For the design, we looked to the location and history of the site where we came up with the concept. Read more about how the final design was selected in the case study:

Combining the history of the town with the needs of the local residents made us stand out in the category, taking us to second place and the project being highly commended.
