Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council was looking to enhance the area in the town centre, and George Cox & Wilde Consulting Engineers were invited by Stockport Council to provide design and construction capabilities as part of their £80m Town Centre Access Programme bid.
Viritopia worked with George Cox on the green infrastructure aspects of the project, which involved a living wall spanning part of Bridgefield St.
This beautiful injection of plants into a harsh concrete environment immediately upgrades the space and lends a sense of well-being.

This RIBA Award-winning project made history while honouring it, creating a lush oasis beside the old London Wall.
